Lillian Fruchtman 1/27/1899-5/18/1983

Family: daughter of Joseph and Ida Goldberg and married to Henry Fruchtman, she had 2 children Arlene and Judith Lillian was born in New York City and met her husband-to-be there.

Howard Margolis, a cousin, remembers her as very opinionated and the one who dictated the rules of the house. But she also had a soft side. She was also a wonderful cook and she gave Howard a formal sixth birthday at her house. Howard described her as having a “sweet kind of sternness.”

Lillian was active in the Jewish community and did much volunteering.
