Rose Rancer 7/12/1895-8/19/1962

Family: Married to Isidore, 4 sons, Louis, Sid, Herbert and Murray

Rose married Izzy in New York. They met tragedy early as they were starting their family. The oldest son, as a baby, was left alone briefly in the kitchen. He dipped over some boiling hot soup onto himself and was fatally burned.

One of Rose’s sons, Sid, married Mae and subsequently settled here. They brought down Isidore and Rose to live down here. They had been retired, but when they came down here, Isidore worked for his son in the junk business. Rose worked as a seamstress.

Her granddaughter, Eileen, remembers her as being very little, but very stern.
