Gustave Abramson 11/30/1928-7/24/1998

Gus, as he was called by all his friends and family, grew up in New Jersey where he met his wife, Eileen. He and Eileen married February 24, 1963. They married at Beth El Synagogue and Rabbi Herbert Berger officiated. From that marriage came two sons, Murray and Neil.. A grandson, Gilad, is named after his grandfather.

Gus owned and operated a tobacco and newspaper store in downtown Durham with his stepfather-in-law as a partner, both of whom were long time members of Beth El Synagogue.

Gus is buried in the Hebrew Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina.
