Sidney Seymour Rancer 9/12/1913-10/30/1990

Sid was born in Brooklyn, New York. Moved to Durham, North Carolina with his mother, father, and brothers.

He married May Ornoff which ended in divorce in 1949. That marriage produced two daughters, Eileen Rancer Abramson, Durham, North Carolina and Jeannie Rancer Garr, Cary, North Carolina.

He was active in synagogue affairs and was involved in establishing the synagogue on Watts Street and Markham Avenue.
