Anna Wolf arrived in Durham from Russia following her husband, Afram. Her move was the subject of a newspaper story. According to the 1901 Durham Sun, Anna was the "Bride (that) Came All the Way from Russia to Durham to Join Her Intended Husband. The former Annie Wolck suffered the vicissitudes of 'true love' to join her husband in Durham."
