William Jacob Blankfield

Name: William Jacob Blankfield 3/02/1875-12/6/1955

During Sukkot, Blankfield took the lulav (palm leaf) and etrog (citron) from store to store so merchants could fulfill the religious obligation to bless and shake them, according to Jewish historian Leonard Rogoff.

Blankfield was a character, and would make everyone laugh. "Here comes Blankfield," people said in delight.
